ST-M300

Vessel satellite terminal, bridge-mounted

The ST-M300 is the fixed terminal that stays with the vessel: bridge-mounted head, corded handset, deck antenna and a distress key the crew can find in the dark. It is the number that works when the phone nobody charged is dead.

Deployment

Where it deploys — use, markets, bands, preparation

Always-on voice and data for the bridge — 12/24 V ship supply, IP66 head unit — In deployment the terminal is only half the system — the airtime plan and the antenna install decide whether it works on day one.

HOW IT IS USED

  • Offshore/mountain voice & SMS: the satellite line is the crew's always-on number — one-key dial to shore, no dead zones within the footprint.
  • Field data backhaul: low-rate data channel pushes GPS fixes, sensor readings and short reports from beyond cellular reach.
  • Vessel install: bridge-mounted head, deck antenna and distress key wired to the ship's 12/24 V supply.
  • Fleet management: each line's usage and location visible on the operator's portal — accounts per vessel/crew.

MARKETS & WHY

China (all provinces)

Tiantong-1 01/02/03 satellites give full national coverage incl. South China Sea.

Southeast Asia

Coverage reaches Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

South Asia

Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka within the S-band footprint.

Middle East / Indian Ocean

Western footprint covers Iran, Saudi, and sea lanes to Africa; check the latest coverage chart for the edge zones.

RADIO & BANDS

Service link (up)1980–2010 MHz S-band
Service link (down)2170–2200 MHz S-band
SIMTiantong SIM (China Telecom operated) — subscription per line, voice + SMS + low-rate data

WATCH-OUTS

  • Tiantong is a regional system: coverage stops east of Japan / beyond the Maldives — confirm the footprint chart against your actual operating area.
  • Terminal must be outdoors with sky view; inside vehicles use the external antenna option.
  • Tiantong SIM activation and subscription is separate from any cellular plan — lead time for bulk SIMs should be planned into the project.

WHAT TO PREPARE

  • Deck or bridge mount point with 12/24 V ship supply (protected against engine-start transients).
  • Antenna cable run ≤ 30 m or an active antenna; keep the antenna clear of radar/VHF blades.
  • SIM/airtime subscription per vessel; fleet SIM pools available for large orders.
  • Distress numbers and shore contacts pre-programmed before delivery.

Bands listed are the default SKUs for each market — final frequency/certification confirmation against the local operator is part of the quotation.

Questions about the ST-M300

Before you order

Stock, configuration, software compatibility and what happens when a unit fails. The answer comes from the person who configured it.

All questions
01Who is behind this site?
Bastion Rugged is the trading front of Bright Alliance Tech Limited, Shenzhen. We design and build rugged mobile hardware — barcode scanning, UHF RFID, NFC, biometric capture — and we sell it to system integrators and solution providers rather than to consumers. The tooling, PCB and antenna work happen with our own engineering team, not through a trading desk.
02Can you supply five units for a pilot?
Yes. A pilot is the normal entry point. We quote single units at sample pricing and support the pilot with spare parts on the same order — a spare battery and a cradle, not a pallet.
03Do the Android units ship with GMS?
Most Android models ship with GMS. For builds where Google services must be absent, we supply a GMS-free firmware on the same hardware — say so at the quotation stage, because it is a firmware decision, not a setting.
04What warranty do you give?
One year as standard, covering the unit and the battery against manufacturing faults. Extended cover and advance-replacement terms are available for fleets — ask for them with the quotation, not after the first failure.
