BeiDou short-message terminal, Android handheld
The ST-B200 runs the same Android apps as an office terminal and adds a BeiDou short-message channel for the stretches where the network does not exist. Catch logs, forms and photos accumulate on the device and sync when coverage returns; the SOS broadcast reaches the base even when nothing else does.

- Smart link selection: cellular for cost, DMR direct mode inside compounds, satellite when both fail — the unit fails over automatically and logs which link carried each call.
- Cross-ocean group calling: the same talk-group works in port (LTE) and mid-ocean (satellite) — the crew never changes devices between legs.
- Dispatch & tracking: position reports ride the cheapest available link; the dispatch console shows which network each unit is on.
- Emergency: one-key call over satellite regardless of subscription state — distress traffic is the priority class on the platform.
- Android build managed through MDM — the WMS/ERP app ships as a managed package, kiosk-mode locks the device to the workflow app.

- Antenna must see the sky; below-deck installs need the external active antenna kit.
- Satellite numbers are country-coded differently from GSM — test inbound calling from the customer's PBX before rollout.
- Check the Android security-update window against the project life in the quotation — a 5-year project on a 3-year update SKU leaves a gap.
